Terms of Service

These terms (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of M2M (“Mentored to Mentor,” “we,” “our”). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them. Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your information.

1. Eligibility

You must be old enough to use online services where you live, and you may not use the service if you have been barred from it. Where you are under the applicable age of digital consent, you confirm that a parent or guardian has agreed to your use of the service.

2. Your account

You are responsible for the information on your account and for keeping your login credentials confidential. You agree not to share your password, create accounts for others without their consent, or take over someone else’s account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. The service

M2M matches mentors and mentees and provides the tools to talk, hold sessions, and keep commitments — including one-to-one chats, calls, and scheduling. We may change, suspend, or retire parts of the service over time, and we will try to give you reasonable notice of material changes.

4. Community standards

M2M is a professional space meant to be respectful, relevant, and boundaried. You agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, intimidate, or discriminate against anyone.
• Share content that is unlawful, sexually explicit, or unsafe, or that exploits children.
• Post another person’s private information without permission.
• Impersonate others, provide false information, or create fraudulent accounts.
• Attempt to access another user’s account or a system you are not authorised to use.
• Use the service to spam, defraud, or spread malicious software.

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these standards, and you can report concerns through the in-app reporting tools.

5. Your content

You keep ownership of the content you create. By posting it, you grant M2M a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide licence to host, store, and display it solely to provide the service to you and the people you communicate with. You confirm your content does not infringe anyone else’s rights.

6. Sessions and advice

Mentors share guidance from their own experience. M2M is a matching and communication platform — it does not provide medical, psychological, legal, financial, or other professional advice, and it is not a crisis or emergency service. If you are in crisis or danger, contact your local emergency services.

7. Third-party sign-in

You may sign in with Google or Facebook. Those providers operate their own services, subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Facebook users can review how to remove M2M’s access in our data deletion instructions.

8. Fees

The core service is currently free. If we introduce paid features, we will tell you the price before you are charged, and you will be able to decline.

9. Intellectual property

The M2M name, branding, and the software that makes up the platform are owned by or licensed to us. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or resell the service, or scrape user profiles or content, without our permission.

10. Termination

You can stop using M2M and delete your account at any time via our data deletion instructions. We may suspend or terminate access where you breach these Terms, where the law requires it, or where continuing would be unsafe. You can use these Terms even after your account ends where they reasonably still apply.

11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or losses arising from mentoring outcomes, third-party services, or events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service grows. We will post material changes on this page, and continued use of the service after they take effect means you accept them.
