Data Deletion Instructions

This page explains how you can delete your M2M account and the personal information we hold about you. It applies to every M2M member, including anyone who signed in with Facebook.

How to request deletion

1. Email us your request. Send an email from the address registered to your account to privacy@m2m.example with the subject line “Delete my M2M account.”
2. Tell us who you are. Include the full name and email address you signed up with. If you signed in with Facebook, also include the Facebook-linked email address so we can tie the account to you.
3. We confirm and delete. Once we verify the request came from you, we will delete your account, profile, messages, calls, and stored attachments — the same data in every system we control.

What you do not need to provide

You do not need to give us a reason. You only need to tell us which account to delete.

Timing

We will acknowledge your request within 3 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days. Residual encrypted backups age out shortly afterwards; nothing about your account is kept beyond what the law requires us to keep (for example records needed to prevent abuse or satisfy a legal obligation).

What happens next

Deletion is permanent. You cannot restore the account, your profile, or your conversation history afterwards. If you sign in with Facebook, deleting your M2M account also deletes the data we received from Facebook (such as your name, email address, and profile picture).

Removing M2M’s access via Facebook

To manage or remove M2M’s access directly from Facebook, go to your Facebook account’s Settings & privacy → Settings → Apps and websites, find “M2M” under Logged in with Facebook, and choose to remove it. Removing access there does not delete your M2M account — use the steps above for that.
